Hi! My name is Eena and I’m a 22 year old book-lover from the Philippines. I’ve been blogging for quite some time now but it was only 2 years ago that I really got into book-blogging. During 2013, I set up this blog and posted consistently for a while, before having to stop so I could focus on college.
Today, I have successfully dropped out of university, upon realizing that it wasn’t a place I wanted to be. I moved cities (from Zamboanga to Metro Manila to Cebu City) before deciding to stay in Mandaue City to start fresh. I am now working as a Junior Host for an international property marketing company, and for the first time since I turned 18, I feel like I have my life together. This is what prompted me to go back to book-blogging, because now I know that what I have to say would be coming from a place of sound stability.
I’m an emotional Cancer (born in July) and a certified Slytherin – every Harry Potter house quiz that I’ve taken has unanimously agreed on this, except for like two, which put me in Ravenclaw, but we don’t talk about that. I like old places and beautiful architecture, rainy days, and Mexican wraps. I also like red lipstick a lot, and photoshopping pretty graphics even though I’m not that aesthetically creative.
Not only am I a reader, I’m a writer as well. Kind of a terrible one, but writing helps me when I’m feeling blue. “Paper has more patience than people,” said Anne Frank. And she’s right.
I read pretty much everything, but mostly young adult, mystery/thrillers, period pieces/historical fiction, horror, and lots of contemporary. Aside from book reviews and memes/challenges, I’ll also post about my life and other stuff that I find interesting (probably lipstick-related stuff, or Marvel, because Marvel is life).
I hope you enjoy reading my blog as much as I enjoy writing my posts. Please don’t hesitate to talk to me! I may be painfully awkward (and painfully morbid…sorry), but I love interacting with people! I would also appreciate book recommendations, because that’s always fun!
Anyway, this is getting way too long. So thank you for dropping by and happy reading!
