Hey hey hey!

I’m not entirely sure if anyone still remembers me, but I am glad to announce that The Crazy Bookworm is now back online and ready to get the blogging started again!

I am so excited to re-join the wonderful community of book blogging, and to celebrate my come-back, I’m going to start it off by reviewing a book by one of my most beloved authors.

It’s All The Rage by Courtney Summers.

From all the rave reviews that I’ve read on Goodreads, I can tell that this book is about to take me into an emotional roller-coaster. Courtney Summers has never disappointed me before. Remember when I reviewed her books Some Girls Are and Cracked Up To Be? It was basically just a few paragraphs of fangirling.

So needless to say, I am incredibly pumped to read and review All The Rage. If you’ve already read the book, NO SPOILERS PLEASE! (I’ve already read the prologue, actually. And I’m SCREAMING)

Anywho, I’d love to hear about what everyone’s been up to lately! What books have you been reading? What other interesting stuff has been going on that I have undoubtedly missed?

Let me know in the comments section!

Much love,

Tackle Your TBR Pile Read-A-Thon

Read-a-thon Tackle Your TBR

This might sound lame, but I’ve never joined a read-a-thon until now. I’ve always wanted to, but I didn’t know anyone who hosted them before I had this blog. I still don’t, to be honest, but thankfully, I came across this post by Jess @ Such A Novel Idea and I thought, why not join? (I follow awesome people and that’s A+ for me)

Tackle Your TBR Pile Read-a-thon is hosted by the ladies of Tressa’s Wishful Endings and Colorimetry. Basically, the whole thing kicked off last September 8 and would end this September 21. Anyone can join, you don’t need to be a blogger or reviewer or anything like that. All you need to have is a social media platform, may it be Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, etc, where you can record your read-a-thon progress.

To be honest, my TBR pile is mountain-high already, and even as I snatch a book off the pile, there will be four or five more to replace it. It’s a never ending cycle, and I can only endure so much *sniffs dramatically*. So yeah, this read-a-thon thing will be a good way to reduce my growing TBR list.

Sadly, I did not finish any book last September 8 or 9. And don’t look at me like that. I’ve been busy. But just yesterday I’ve finished Last Stand of Dead Men, which I can’t review since it’s the 8th book in a series. I’ll include it anyhow. My target for this read-a-thon is 12 books. That’s right, 12. I’m going to be breaking my back and working hard for my first read-a-thon ever, so wish me luck, yeah?

My first Audio Book: Cracked Up To Be by Courtney Summers

I. am. so. excited.

Totally gushing right now. I have never. ever. ever. listened to an audio book before (yeah, I suck) but that’s about to change because I just got *drumroll*… an audio book of Cracked Up To Be by Courtney Summers!!!

Lots of people have been raving about this book including two of my most trusted book reviewers on Goodreads which is basically why I ordered it in the first place. I am so stoked to begin listening to it on my mp3 player tomorrow on my way to school. Like, how cool is that? I can just zone out of boredom and into the magical land of fiction by putting on my ear plugs.

This is just perfect!

Me about this whole audio book thing.

But before I go on full spazz mode (I seem to do it a lot lately), here is a bit of a teaser for all of you nerds who haven’t read or who doesn’t know what Cracked Up To Be is all about. Be sure to add it on your To-Read lists or read it NOW (or listen to it!!!), so you can fangirl with me!!!

Cracked Up To Be by Courtney Summers

When “Perfect” Parker Fadley starts drinking at school and failing her classes, all of St. Peter’s High goes on alert. How has the cheerleading captain, girlfriend of the most popular guy in school, consummate teacher’s pet, and future valedictorian fallen so far from grace?

Parker doesn’t want to talk about it. She’d just like to be left alone, to disappear, to be ignored. But her parents have placed her on suicide watch and her conselors are demanding the truth. Worse, there’s a nice guy falling in love with her and he’s making her feel things again when she’d really rather not be feeling anything at all.

Nobody would have guessed she’d turn out like this. But nobody knows the truth.

Something horrible has happened, and it just might be her fault.

A bad girl for a change! Doesn’t that just intrigue you? And it helps that this book is also a winner of the 2009 Cybil Award Winner for YA Fiction. That said, I cannot think of a better title to initiate me into this whole audio book business. I’ll be sure to keep you guys posted on my progress with this book. And expect a review early next week!
